Who is Floks?
Felix Lokko
The name Floks Speaks carries a personal and spiritual meaning. F comes from Felix, Lok from Lokko, and S represents the Holy Spirit. Together it reflects a desire to partner with the Holy Spirit, and to let Him speak through the words.
A Ghanaian Christ centred spoken word artist who uses rhyme, rhythm, rap and African cultural expression to proclaim Jesus Christ. Since officially beginning in September 2021 he has ministered across churches, youth camps, schools, weddings and other gatherings.

The Question That Started It All
During a month of evangelism, while reflecting on his love for rhymes in a trotro (commercial bus), the Holy Spirit asked: “If you were to win a soul with words that rhyme, how would it sound?” That question birthed the Floks Speaks journey and its style: simple, memorable words that point people to Christ.

A Calling to the Younger Generation
His first major youth camp ministration stirred a deep burden for young people. Witnessing their hunger for God, and their response to the message, confirmed a calling to reach the younger generation through spoken word and draw them to Christ.

Testimony
A Testimony That Changed Everything
A young man struggling with his sight had given up on his academics until he encountered Felix’s spoken-word pieces. One piece rekindled his hope and inspired him to persevere. Today he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Administration at the University of Ghana Business School. The testimony revealed the life-changing power of spoken word and challenged Felix to pursue this ministry with greater intentionality.

Taking the Gospel to Schools
God opened doors to minister across several senior high school campuses in Ghana, particularly in the Western Region. The students’ response and admiration for the style created openings to share the gospel, talk with them about Christ, and lead many towards Him.

Reaching a Larger Generation
Felix had the honour of ministering to freshers and continuing students at Takoradi Technical University (TTU), one of his largest young-adult gatherings yet, a reflection of growing capacity and confidence to reach larger audiences while staying led by the Holy Spirit and centred on Christ.

Wearing the Message
A childhood dream came to life with T-shirts bearing God’s Word and proclaiming Christ. Recognising that people are naturally drawn to the messages on what others wear, this became another avenue for evangelism. The “Ebi Jesus Wey Dey Rule” T-shirt became an anthem of faith, worn by individuals and evangelism groups alike. More than clothing, a wearable declaration of Christ, sharing the gospel both consciously and unconsciously.

Why Spoken Word?
Spoken word is more than poetry. It is a gift from the Holy Spirit, a vessel to draw hearts to Christ.
Through rhythm, culture and truth, faith and experience and conviction become words that people can not only hear, but feel and carry with them. The approach blends crafted rhymes, rhythmic delivery, relatable language, rap, music and real audience interaction.
With a heart for young people and a message for every generation, the aim is to make biblical truth accessible, compelling and relevant to ordinary life. The ambition reaches past performance. Floks Speaks is becoming a movement of spoken word artists, singers, instrumentalists and dancers united by one mission. African culture is not decoration in that work. It is the artistic identity.
The Message Behind the Voice
Jesus Reigns.
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow … and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.Philippians 2:9 to 11, NKJV
That passage is the foundation. The desire is simple. That everyone who encounters this work would come to know Jesus, grow in love for Him, and stay steadfast in the walk.
One word, one rhyme, one ministration, and one heart at a time.
